Step 1

Website Registration

In order to buy an item on Whisky Auction House you must register an account on our website, a nominal one-time fee of £5 + VAT is required to participate in our auctions, this is aimed at upholding the integrity of our bidder community.

Step 2

Live Auctions

Once user registration is complete you will be able to log in to your account and bid on lots in our live auctions. As a registered user we will send you an e-mail when an auction goes live.

Step 3

Bidding

Place your bids, it’s that simple!

Click on the lot you are interested in, which will take you to the lot page giving you a detailed description of the lot you are about to bid on along with its condition. Please ensure that you are happy with the condition of the lot before bidding.

You can make a single increment bid or enter in a maximum bid you are willing to bid up to for the lot. You will be prompted to confirm your bid to ensure it is the correct amount you have entered.

Processing Your Order and Payment

Upon successfully winning a lot we will notify you automatically by email with a link to take you to the payment page. Please follow the instructions to process your order. You will have 72 hours from the end of the auction to pay before you incur additional fees.

You can also pay quickly and easily through your Whisky Auction House online account.

Step 5

Shipping, Collection and Storage

Shipping - Once payment has been received, Whisky Auction House will ship your lot/s to you as soon as possible. International bidders, please note that there are some countries/states that we cannot ship to so please check our shipping & insurance page to ensure we can deliver to your location. Please ensure that you check and are happy with any fees and delivery charges before placing your bids.

Collection – Customers also have the option to pick up their bottles from a nearby collection point (off premises), this must be booked, and the booking must be confirmed. We can provide a FREE drop-off service to customers within a 30 mile radius of our Peterhead Office (this service will be at Whisky Auction House’s discretion).

Storage - We provide a storage option for 90 days free of charge (subject to availability). Thereafter charges of £1+VAT apply per day, per lot/bottle.
