Description

The Wolfburn Kylver Series - Release 2 is a highly sought-after single malt whisky, part of Wolfburn's limited Kylver Series. Named after a Viking burial stone featuring one of the earliest examples of the runic alphabet, this series reflects the rich history of Caithness, where the distillery is located.

The second release in this series features a rune symbolizing the aurochs, an extinct type of large cattle, on its label. The whisky itself is a blend of spirits aged in bourbon barrels and a second-fill ex-Oloroso Sherry butt, resulting in a unique and complex flavor profile. With an alcohol content of 50% ABV, this edition is known for its bright notes of fresh fruit, earthy peat, and a touch of caramelized brown sugar.

This release is limited to 1,450 bottles, making it a prized addition for collectors and whisky enthusiasts.

Wolfburn

Wolfburn is one of Scotland's most northerly distilleries and is situated on the north coast of Scotland overlooking the Pentland Firth. Here is where the master craftsmen fashion their whisky the same way it was always made; by hand, using only the finest ingredients and without haste.

Although it is a new distillery, it takes its name from an older distillery that once operated nearby in the 19th century. Wolfburn produces a range of lightly peated and unpeated whiskies. Wolfburn is non-chill filtered and entirely naturally coloured.
