Description

The Tomatin Cu Bocan Creation Series is a limited edition range of single malt Scotch whiskies, each showcasing innovative cask finishes. The fourth release in this series, Cu Bocan Creation #4, is aged in a combination of Tawny Port and Cognac casks. This unique maturation process imparts rich flavours of plum jam, grilled peach, stewed forest fruit, cinnamon, and sweet campfire smoke.


Aromas of plum jam, grilled peach, stewed forest fruit, cinnamon, and sweet campfire smoke. The flavour profile is chocolatey, with poached pear, black pepper and nectarine. The finish is long with vanilla, ginger, delicate yet spicy smoke, and nectarine.


The Cu Bocan Creation Series is known for pushing the boundaries of Scotch whisky with experimental cask selections while honoring traditional whisky-making heritage.This release is a limited edition, with only 4,200 bottles available worldwide.

The legend of Cù Bòcan, a mysterious and eerie hellhound, has haunted the residents of the remote Highland village of Tomatin for centuries. The hound's increasingly troublesome behavior has only added to the chilling tale, making Cu Bòcan an enduring figure in local lore. Residents speak of glowing eyes and ghostly presence that roams the misty hills, always watching, always waiting. The legend of Cù Bòcan continues to captivate and terrify, a reminder of the ancient and untamed spirit of the Highlands.

Tomatin Distillery

Situated in the Monadhliath Mountains, Tomatin produces a range of whiskies, from light and fruity to heavily sherried. The distillery once held the title of the largest in Scotland.
