Description

The Hearach is the first, historic single malt whisky from the Harris distillery and the Isle of Harris. Bottling began on the 25th of May 2023. Each batch has natural variation due to individual choice of casks and differing 'marrying' periods. Each batch is vatted from Heaven Hill (21%), Buffalo Trace (64%) Oloroso (11%) and Fino (4%) casks. Batch 10 - Married at 48.1% for 17 weeks and 5 days. One of only 12,100 bottles. This bottle was bottled at 46% between the 29th of February and 12th of  March 2024.

Isle of Harris Distillery

The Isle of Harris Distillery, also known as The Social Distillery, is located in Tarbert on the Isle of Harris in Scotland. Established to revive the distilling traditions of the Outer Hebrides, it produces award-winning spirits such as The Hearach Single Malt whisky and Isle of Harris Gin. The distillery is known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, offering tours, a public canteen with local produce, and a shop with local products. The distillery prides itself on its connection to the island, with every drop of its whisky being distilled, matured, and bottled on Harris.


Before placing a bid on a lot, it is mandatory to conduct a close-up visual inspection. Upon request, we can provide more detailed descriptions and additional photographs. Otherwise, lots are sold based on the images provided. By placing a bid, you acknowledge that you have performed the aforementioned checks and are satisfied with the lot's condition. 

Whisky Auction House may highlight certain conditions of the lots for sale. As most items are second-hand, Whisky Auction House is not liable for any unspecified conditions at the time of listing. By confirming a bid, you acknowledge your acceptance of the lot's condition, noted or not. 

In case of any inconsistency between the photo and the lot title/description, the photo takes precedence. Misdescribed items cannot be contested as all lots are sold as depicted. 

Given the varying ages of bottles and the integrity of their seals, the state of the liquid is left to the buyer's judgment, and no compensation claims for leakage during transit will be entertained. Standard loss and breakage coverage is available at 3% of the final bid price. Without insurance, no claims for breakage or loss during transit can be made against the courier or Whisky Auction House.
