Description
The AnCnoc 24 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Knockdhu distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands. This whisky is bottled at 46% ABV and is known for its rich and complex flavour profile.
The nose offers a densely sweet and spicy aroma, reminiscent of Christmas cake with notes of vanilla, set toffee, and lemon juice. On the palate, the spiciness continues with hints of candied orange slices, warm honey, and worn leather, creating a symphony of mature flavors. The finish is long and satisfying, with old leather and tannic oak rounding it out with a hint of orange peel.
This whisky is bottled in its most natural form, without chill filtration or added colouring.
Condition Notes
AnCnoc
AnCnoc Malt Whisky is produced at Knockdhu Distillery at the foot of Knock Hill at Knock in the Highland whisky region. Knockdhu distillery ownership passed to 'Inver House' in 1988, who soon had a single malt on the market, this was called AnCnoc, rather than the distillery name, which Inver House felt was too like the already established Knockando. The current range is the 12, 16 and 21-year-old expressions at its core, supported by annual vintage releases.
