Wolfburn Northland
Description
The smooth and warming flavours present in Northland come from the unhurried way in which the spirit is made, and from the maturation, which takes place in American oak quarter casks. Matured and bottled on site at the distillery, Northland represents the first chapter in the history of Wolfburn.
The initial sweetness carries notes of fruit and a breath of fresh sea air. Citrus freshness and cereal hints linger in the background, accompanied by a subtle trace of peat smoke. On the palate, sweet and nutty tones are complemented by undertones of grapes and honey. An abundance of floral flavors is enriched by a delicate hint of dried fruit and spice. The finish is a gentle fade of soft, sweet tones with a whisper of peat smoke at the close.
